I have had Leibel Lifestyles as my personal trainer for 8 months now. I have lost a total of 58 lbs, quit smoking and have not felt this good since I was in my 20's. I have ran a half marathon and run 5 days a week. My runs are a minimum of 10 km and up to 21km. I have also done the ms bike tour from Leduc to Camrose, which is a total of 175km. But the most impressive thing Leibel Lifestyles has trained me for was the P.A.R.E. Test which is a physical fitness test for law enforcement agencies and I passed with lots of time to spare. Thank you Leibel Lifestyles! I have worked with other trainers in the past but they just did not seem to have the passion and excitement to see the person that they are training change. I could have used Leibel Lifestyles 20 years ago.

We have worked with Curtis for almost 3 years now. Since training with him, Curtis has planted the seed for us, along with many others that have trained with him, to take fitness beyond the gym and make recreational activities and healthy lifestyle choices a part of our daily living. With his positive outlook he has been able to motivate us to achieve whatever we set out to do. This attitude that Curtis carries fills us all with a feeling of accomplishment and well being we can’t help but express to others. This has helped us to acquire many new friendships and with the encouragement and inspiration of our trainer, many of us now meet to encourage one another to make it up that last hill, or to make healthy breakfast choices after our Sunday morning run.

Training with Leibel Lifestyles has had a huge impact on my life. Their belief in me has allowed me to have the confidence to learn to run – and even complete my first ever 5, 8, 10 km and most recently half marathon run in Victoria!! I now look forward to my social runs with many of my new friends. I started out 2 years ago having done very little physical activity in the past– now I work with a trainer 2 times a week, attend bootcamp twice and week, AND run, bike and swim whenever I have some free time. Activity has become such a significant part of who I have become.

Do you ever look back and wonder how different your life would be if you hadn't met a certain person or hadn't done a certain thing? I do. I know that if I had not met Curtis a year ago I would still be the inactive, unfit, unhealthy person that I was all of my life. Sure I've tried lots of different activities in the past.walking, belly dancing, tap dancing, aquasize. And let's not forget the gym memberships I had most of my life. But none of these did anything to help me. I don't get it. I thought joining these activities would automatically result in positive changes. I was wrong. I did most things just long enough to convince myself that they didn't work or that I would never be able to do them well. Turning 50 made me decide that I needed to try once again to get in shape, although I'm not sure I even knew what that meant. I signed up for some personal training sessions and was so fortunate to have met Curtis. With him by my side, I learned to enjoy exercising. I know that sounds crazy, but it is true. Curtis made it fun to work out by introducing different activities and he made me feel that I truly could do things I never thought I could. His knowledge and his encouragement made me want to do more and he was so much fun to be around that I never wanted to miss sessions. He even taught me about this thing called goal setting! I've been working out consistently for the past year and I am absolutely thrilled about the way I feel and the way I look. I have more energy and more strength than I have ever had. I have lost 20 pounds and 18 inches and my fitness level has improved dramatically. I have learned to run with Curtis's help and guidance and I just ran my first 8 km run in Victoria with Curtis and other friends by my side. Not bad for someone who was told years ago that she would be in a wheelchair by the age of 35 because of bad knees and hips! Curtis has taught me to 'take baby steps' and to 'balance' lifestyle choices. (That means I can still drink wine in between training!) I work out with Curtis three times a week, I attend his bootcamp classes two nights a week and I run three times a week. If I had more time, I would do more! He's created a 'fitness freak' and he has convinced me that there is nothing I can't do (although he is non-committal about me making it to the Cirque de Soleil). I can honestly say that Curtis has changed my life and I am forever grateful to him for doing so. Thanks Curtis! I couldn't have done it without you.
